Flight 11-B was launched from Treynor High School on June 5th and recovered west-southwest of Carbon, IA. The backup beacon failed shortly before launch due to an unknown reason but the primary worked without a hitch. The Kodak Zi6 video camera also would not start recording and has been retired as it now fails on the bench with fresh batteries and a cleanly-formatted SD card.
UPDATED: The primary beacon's GPS appeared to be a little uncertain on descent as you can see from the track data at the bottom - there are a few "jumps" now and again. The backup beacon probably was not received due to an antenna fault limiting its range - this explains why it was received on this flight and the 11-C flight for only a short time after launch.
